Through our new monthly series, Inside Vella, we shine the spotlight on the amazing humans of Vella who work tirelessly to ensure the growth and success of the brand. This month, we had an interesting chat with our talented front end developer, Ifeoluwa, who ensures that our users navigate and interact with our website and mobile application easily.

What do you do and what role do you play at Vella?

As a frontend developer at Vella, my primary role is to collaborate with the engineering team to create and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications. I contribute my expertise in building visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for our users.

What does your typical workday look like?

I wake up every day at 6 AM, do my morning devotion, and on some days, I go back to sleep, while on others, I start work immediately. To begin my workday, I first touch base with other members of the engineering team regarding any pending tasks. After that, I choose a good podcast and commence my work for the day.

What aspect of working at Vella do you enjoy the most?

The team meetings are always fun and refreshing.

Do you love working from home, or would you rather be in an office workspace?

I tend to prefer working from home on most days, but once in a while I would rather be in an office workspace. What I truly cherish is the freedom to decide where I work.

What’s the most challenging part about working remotely for you?

My biggest challenge is electricity, vibes on a frequency (if you know you know)

How do you stay productive and motivated working remotely?

I try to change the location of where I work at home. This week I might decide to work in my room and then the next week another place in the house. I don’t know why but this just helps to break my routine and not get bored. I also listen to podcasts and music while working.

What does your typical work from home uniform look like?

Anything comfortable, on cold days a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie does it for me, and some days a short and a shirt(maybe), it is all based on my vibe.

What’s your secret talent?

My secret talent is my ability to meet up with any deadline set, I be IDAN.
