Customer Success Representative, Adeniyi Oluranti

Through our new monthly series, Inside Vella, we shine the spotlight on the amazing humans of Vella who work tirelessly to ensure the growth and success of the brand. This month, we shine the spotlight on our friendly and proactive customer success representative, Oluranti, who does an awesome job of keeping our customers happy.

What do you do and what role do you play at Vella?

I am a customer success Representative at Vella. I am on the growth team. My role is to ensure customer satisfaction, drive long-term loyalty, and foster mutually beneficial relationships between the company and its customers.

What does your typical workday look like?

My typical work day starts at 8:20am. I go over my to-do list which I try to put together the night before so I have an overall mental picture of how my day will go. I jam up my playlist to give me motivation. Straight to work, task of the day, meetings sometimes, resolve issues, escalate issues my day revolves around the customers/users. Then I go for my lunch break at 1–2pm. Then, I follow up with these escalated issues to ensure these issues are resolved.

What aspect of working at Vella do you enjoy the most?

The people. My colleagues at Vella create an atmosphere that feels like a second home, which holds a special place in my heart.

Do you love working from home, or would you rather be in an office workspace?

Team remote worker! all day every day, not even with Lagos wahala.

What activities do you like to engage in when you’re not working?

I enjoy watching football, meal prep and cooking. I also enjoy listening to music, reading, going out sometimes and taking pictures I Never post.

What is the one thing you are most proud of?

My personal growth on the job. Looking back to when I joined, I would say I have grown and I have learnt a lot about my role and how I fit into this. This has impacted my confidence positively and I am really proud of myself cause I did THAT!

What is the one thing you have learnt at Vella that has helped you with your growth?

One valuable lesson that I have learnt is the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. Staying updated with the latest trends, technologies, and skills is crucial for personal and professional development.

If you were explaining your job to a five-year-old, how would you describe it?

It is like having a friend who helps you with a special toy. They make sure you understand how to use it and have fun playing with it. If you have any questions or problems, they are there to help you and make sure you are happy. They want to be your friend for a long time and make sure you always have a great time playing with your toy or game.

An all expense paid trip to Maldives, which Vella colleague would you go with and why?

I would go with all the girls, for obvious reasons lol.

How would you describe the work-life balance at Vella?

I would describe it as wonderful. I have been able to effectively manage both my work responsibilities and personal life without having to compromise either. I have achieved a great balance between the two, and it feels really satisfying.
