Through our new monthly series, Inside Vella, we shine the spotlight on the amazing humans of Vella who work tirelessly to ensure the growth and success of the brand. This month, we had an interesting chat with our wonderful product marketer, Oluyinka, who creates awareness about our products and ensures that our users are properly educated on how to use our amazing products and services.
What do you do and what role do you play at Vella?
I work on the growth team of Vella as a product marketer. My role involves creating awareness around our products to build engagement that later results in conversions. I do this by crafting engaging product-centric contents.
What does your typical workday look like?
My typical workday starts off with Next Level Prayers with Pastor Bolaji and then I proceed to sort any uncompleted tasks from the previous day e.g attend to unresponded emails. Once I’m done with that, I create a checklist where I write my goals for the day and work towards completing set goals.
How has your journey been since you joined Vella?
My journey since I joined Vella has been an interesting one so far. Vella has contributed to my growth immensely and continues to give me new and exciting challenges that enhance my growth.
What aspect of working at Vella do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the atmosphere for growth that’s very much present on the team. Everyone contributes to the growth of each other directly or indirectly.
What sets Vella apart from all the other places you’ve worked?
I would say the people. I like that everyone on the team is approachable.
What is the best part of working remotely?
The best part of working remotely is the comfort of working from home.
Describe what you do to a five year old.
Hmmmm, I make people aware of what I sell and ensure that they are interested in buying what I sell.
What is one thing you wish you could change about your job?
There’s no doubt that I love working from home but if there’s one thing I could change about my job, it would be making it hybrid. A combination of working from home and a physical location especially during power outages that sometimes last for days.
When not working, what do you do?
I watch movies on Netflix , listen to music or spend time with my family.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
Self-belief and hard work will always earn you success
